I have recently installed 2 games (Gears of War 4) and (Forza Horizon 3) from the windows store. I chose to install them on a separate SSD opposed to the default location (C) drive.
Now I know which SSD in which they were installed but after searching all folders on said SSD, I can't find any of the executables in which to create shortcuts and/or add the games to STEAM.
Please if you have any information regarding how I can find the exact install locations so that I can get access to these executable files then that would be great.
Thanks.

I have a Lenovo u410 laptop. My recent install broke so I reinstalled with 13.04 daily. It's on a 30gb primary sdd, and I want to offload large files to the 1tb hard drive that also resides in my system.
I installed steam and it defaulted to my SSD as expected. Is there anything special I would have to add to the fstab for my second ext3 hdd? Is this as simple as symlinking to a directory on the hard disk?
Conclusion:I mounted my hard drive disk as /home in the fstab. Since it's now ext4 steam installs games and dependencies there by default.

When you click on a game to install it on the first window that pops up there will be a drop down menu. On here you have a choice to install on the default directory or to create a new library.
Steam Game Install Location Windows
When you choose to install in a new directory you will get a choice of where to install.
I hope this helps.

You can choose another drive directly in Steam. But than you have to choose this drive at every Download.
To change the default Download folder,
Just quit Steam (important!) and move the entire Steam folder to another location
mv ~/.local/share/Steam /new/path
and start Steam again. It says something like 'can't find Steam, did you move it?' and than you can choose the new folder location.

And if you want to make these libraries before installing the game, see my answer to this question Not enough space on hard drive for tf2

By default, Steam will download your games to whatever is the main drive on your PC. That is, whichever one Windows is installed on. In many cases that's not going to be a problem, but it will if you have a small SSD boot drive to complement a larger mass storage HDD, for example.
In this case, you need to tell Steam that you want things somewhere else. It's not immediately obvious how to do it, but it's not complicated, either.
- Click on the Steam menu in the top left of the screen.
- Select Settings. The Settings window will open.
- Select Downloads from the left column menu.
- Click on the Steam library folders button.
- Now click on Add library folders.
- Click on the drive menu and select your desired drive.
- Click add folder.
- Right click on the folder you just made and select make default folder.
Now you're all set. It won't automatically move any games you have stored on another drive, but it will now make sure that any new games you're downloading will be saved to the new one instead!
